Oh friend. How this resonates. ❤️ You are Beloved, always. Thank you for sharing this tiny glimpse into the unseen places of your beautiful, very full life. I will forever read every word you write, on the internet and bound in paper 😉
Beautifully written Adrienne. I've been reading your post on and off for most of my day, savoring your words and listening to the songs. I've been thinking lately of a word to describe how I'm feeling lately and I think "despair" is the most accurate. I felt like you wrote this for me, thank you! - btw: Thanks for introducing me to The Arcadian Wild 🧡
Hi Adrienne! I’m a much more recent subscriber, but I’d been wondering what led to the pause & if all was well. There’s much to be said for the quiet continual making and unmaking that happens far beyond the refraction of online work. Mothering and novel-writing both fall into that ebb and flow. So much of what you describe here hits close to home; I feel deeply the truth of the statement “I’m so much more fragile than I want to be.” Aren’t we all? So much more tender and easy to impact than we might imagine in our less raw moments.
It’s a pleasure to read what you write here, in this little online sphere. Some of your pieces have touched me quite deeply. Looking forward to what may flow when the timing is right. x
There is so much unseen work, thought, emotion, and love that HE SEES. You are so courageous to keep moving along, regardless of how quickly. You are stewarding the talent and dreams he’s given you. Praying for endurance and a million little wins along the way. Thank you for sharing these beautiful words and encouraging us all to keep leaning into our stories, real and on the page ✨
Precious friend. You had me at Arcadian Wild in the title. They have ebbed and flowed through the last year for me which has been filled with much struggle. I love that they found you too. My helper self wants to come in and encourage you all the ways I know how and take things off your plate that need a pinch runner. From this screen to yours, you aren’t alone, not even a little. I know you know this. Your feelings and dreams and struggles are so very real and they are making you every day into the incredible wife and mom and friend and daughter that you are. Nothing wasted. 2 Cor. 4:16-18

Thank you, friend!!! I’m so grateful for the ways you champion my writing and the writing of so many other women. XOXOXO

Thanks, Juanita! You’re encouragement means so much. I’m so sorry you’re in the valley, and yet it seems you’ve realized… there’s beauty here too.

Jan, thank you so much for your incredibly warm and wise words. Your encouragement means so much!
Beautiful, Adrienne. I had not heard of that band before. But was, of course, intrigued by the song Big Sky, MT. Keep going. 💚
Thank you, Stacy! I wish I knew the story of how the song and the place connect, but it’s definitely one of my favorites.
"Two birds of a feather
I’ll love you forever
And we’ll keep each other looking for the light"
Love you.
💛
There is nothing like finding the right song.
Isn’t that the truth?!!
Yes!!! It's you! It's you!
